To increase the robot flexibility without having to risk damaging cables and hoses was the challenge that made Robot System Products develop CiRo. The goal was to create a cost-efficient solution that allowed for greater robot mobility and keeping a compact design. Since the launch on 2018, CiRo has been a well appreciated robot accessory around the world.

As usage spread, the demand for a larger version of CiRo came with it. As a result of this, we are today proud to present CiRo XL. As a complement to the models S, M, MHD and L this larger model is now available for robots with payload up to 200 kg or 440 lb. Which is twice the value compared to the previous model L.

Just like the previous models CiRo XL allows for a rotation on robot axis 6 for up to 500°. Thanks to the patented design, this is possible without letting cables and hoses limit this rotation. A relatively simple solution is obtained that counteracts any unpredictable production stops and minimizes the need of maintenance. CiRo may also be combined with Robot System Products hose packages, to further streamline the dressing of the robot. CiRo XL is launched now in June and will be delivered from August.

We are now launching a new series av complete tool systems for robots. The new articles are adapted to ABB robots of the model IRB6700 and consists of complete dress-kits including everything from hose package, signal cable, air supply kit, valve unit, adaptation kit and especially the swivel and swivel tool changer model S250 / STC250.

Mainly, it’s all about the very stable and well-developed swivel that has a payload of up to 250 kg. Multiple signals and air ports are available in this model. The S250 is a swivel for attaching the tool directly on the unit whereas the STC250 is supplied with automatic tool-change. For this, RSP provides various models of tool attachments, which can easily be customized. The great advantage with a tool system from RSP is that you get a complete kit, ready to dress your robot. You don’t have to search for different components and you don´t need to worry about the compatibility of those.

IRB6700 is ABB:s 7:th generation of larger robots and RSP has developed these tool systems for all the 8 different models in product family. Complete 3D-models for all the variations are available for download here on the website. This simplifies the design and planning of the automation project providing a better time-efficiency. Quick assembly and installation, minimal maintenance, effective protection for exposed cables, hoses and connections as well as maximum runtime is what you should expect from our Tool Systems.

To provide some aid in the fight against the (Covid-19) Corona virus RSP will donate computer power for medical research. This is quite simple to set up and really helps the teams who are now struggling with finding the best help for this pandemic. Using a simple program installed on your computer you share the processor power that you don´t use by yourself. The overflow can instead be used by the medical research teams. During their work they perform a huge amount of computer simulations. This takes time and the more processors that are working with these simulations the faster it gets. They recently announced that a new batch of small molecule screening simulations are up and running on this service.

RSP Germany has recently sponsored a local football club so that they are able to change their old floodlights to new LED floodlight with reduced C2O emissions. Now all the teams who use the football field have much better trainings and match conditions because of better light, which is also much better for the environment.


RSP Germany has recently attended the yearly SPS (Smart Production Solutions) exhibition in Nürnberg, to show our products in action.


The exhibition MetalMadrid is currently taking place and Robot System Products have a small part in it. Gimatic are using a tool changer from RSP on one of their collaborative robots.


Our Market Communications Manager Linnea Eurenius has decided to pursue a career in education and RSP will miss her and we wish her all the best in her new adventures. We are however happy to announce that we have found a replacment, named Daniel Linderberg. He has studied media communication and journalism. In recent years he has worked as a journalist at VLT and Västerås Tidning. He started his employment at RSP in November and will work with the website, news, product manuals, images, press contact, social media and exhibitions.

Today, RSP is attending Automation Expo in Gothenburg, where we display some of our products. Automation Expo is an event at Gothenburg Technical College with the goal of increasing the companies knowledge of automation solutions. We showcase a selection of our products with tools such as tool changers, CiRo and complete tool systems.


We at Robot System Products are happy to announce that our sales team is growing. Dan Hellbom has joined us as our new sales manager for Europe. He started his employment at RSP in October and will work with sales through distributors and agents in Europe. His experience of sales and automation in the industry started in the Alfa Laval Group during the late 1980s and his most recent employment was at HMS Industrial Networks AB. There he worked for about 10 years and worked, among other things, as Sales Manager Nordic and Key Account Manager with major customers all over the world.

- Dan has several years of experience in sales in the industry and he will be a very good addition to the company, says Eddie Eriksson, vice president.
